一、比赛规则

一。演讲顺序：比赛前抽签。

2。演讲时间：演讲时间不超过5分钟，每超时10秒扣2分钟，不足10秒按10秒计。

三。演讲比赛成绩：采用100分制。

二、评分标准

1、演讲内容（40分）

主题明确，中心突出，结构严谨，层次清晰，内容正确，衔接实用，选材典型，严谨抄袭。

2、演讲有声语言(30分)

语音标准，声音洪亮，语速适宜，声调升降，变化丰富。

3、演讲态势技能(20分)

表情丰富，动作得体，手势自然，衣着得体。

4、整体效果（10分）

可以将纸上演讲，节奏把握，内涵与表达相结合的感人感动，来塑造生动，强烈的吸引力。 可用***辅助演讲。

三、评分办法

一。本次比赛共有7名评委，现场打分；

We've all met this guy. Maybe we've all been this guy. Some people have a blamethrower. They just pass it on to everybody else and don't take responsibility for their actions, and again, hard to listen to somebody who is being like that.

Penultimate, the sixth of the seven, embroidery, exaggeration. It demeans our language, actually, sometimes. For example, if I see something that really is awesome, what do I call it? And then, of course, this exaggeration becomes lying, and we don't want to listen to people we know are lying to us.

So here they are, seven deadly sins of speaking. These are things I think we need to avoid. But is there a positive way to think about this? Yes, there is. I'd like to suggest that there are four really powerful cornerstones, foundations, that we can stand on if we want our speech to be powerful and to make change in the world.

Fortunately, these things spell a word. The word is "hail," and it has a great definition as well. I'm not talking about the stuff that falls from the sky and hits you on the head. I'm talking about this definition, to greet or acclaim enthusiastically, which is how I think our words will be received if we stand on these four things.

So what do they stand for? See if you can guess. The H, honesty, of course, being true in what you say, being straight and clear. The A is authenticity, just being yourself. A friend of mine described it as standing in your own truth, which I think is a lovely way to put it.

Perhaps that's not necessary. Tempered with love, of course, honesty is a great thing.

Also, now that's what you say, and it's like the old song, it is what you say, it's also the way that you say it. You have an amazing toolbox. This instrument is incredible, and yet this is a toolbox that very few people have ever opened. I'd like to have a little rummage in there with you now and just pull a few tools out that you might like to take away and play with, which will increase the power of your speaking.

Register, for example. Now, falsetto register may not be very useful most of the time, but there's a register in between. I'm not going to get very technical about this for any of you who are voice coaches. You can locate your voice, however. So if I talk up here in my nose, you can hear the difference.

If I go down here in my throat, which is where most of us speak from most of the time. But if you want weight, you need to go down here to the chest. You hear the difference? Then we have timbre. It's the way your voice feels. Again, the research shows that we prefer voices which are rich, smooth, warm, like hot chocolate. Well if that's not you, that's not the end of the world, because you can train. Go and get a voice coach. And there are amazing things you can do with breathing, with posture, and with exercises to improve the timbre of your voice.

Then prosody. I love prosody. This is the sing-song, the meta-language that we use in order to impart meaning. It's root one for meaning in conversation. People who speak all on one note are really quite hard to listen to if they don't have any prosody at all. That's where the word "monotonic" comes from, or monotonous, monotone.

(Laughter) And if you repeat that one, it's actually restricting your ability to communicate through prosody, which I think is a shame, so let's try and break that habit.

I can get very excited by saying something really quickly, or I can slow right down to emphasize, and at the end of that, of course, is our old friend silence. There's nothing wrong with a bit of silence in a talk, is there? We don't have to fill it with ums and ahs. It can be very powerful.

Whatever it is, if it's really important, you owe it to yourself to look at this toolbox and the engine that it's going to work on, and no engine works well without being warmed up. Warm up your voice.

Now let me just put this in context to close. This is a serious point here. This is where we are now, right? We speak not very well to people who simply aren't listening in an environment that's all about noise and bad acoustics. I have talked about that on this stage in different phases. What would the world be like if we were speaking powerfully to people who were listening consciously in environments which were actually fit for purpose?

We are losing our listening. We spend roughly 60 percent of our communication time listening, But we're not very good at it. We retain just 25 percent of what we hear. Now not you, not this talk, but that is generally true. Let's define listening as making meaning from sound. It's a mental process, and it's a process of extraction.

What I'd like to suggest, there are a number of habits that we need to move away from. I've assembled for your pleasure here seven deadly sins of speaking. I'm not pretending this is an exhaustive list, but these seven, I think, are pretty large habits that we can all fall into.

一排红瓦教室前面是一行排的很整齐的自行车。大的、小的；新的、旧的；轮靠轮，把依把。屋后一棵棵刚吐新芽的苹果树上绽满了繁花朵朵。一个扎着菜豆小辫的小女孩作在教室里紧张的忙着考试。已经做过好几回这样的梦了。在梦中常常回到我的母校――麻兰中学。

记忆中的母校很漂亮。两条宽阔的水泥甬路中间是很多间宽敞明亮的教室。东边的甬路两旁植满了生长多年的毛白杨。斑斑驳驳的枝干上留下了岁月的印痕。每到春天，这些高大的杨树就发出有点粉绿的小叶子。它们就像是一个个刚刚出世的娃娃天天张望着满校园求知的孩子；夏天，它们宽大的树叶密密的挤在一起。将炙热的阳光挡在叶外。形成一条凉爽的林荫道。常有三三两两的同学或坐或站，或依或靠的待在树下读书、研题、嬉闹。这里也是我的乐园。每当下课铃一响，我就和几个同学冲出教室，抓着橡皮筋飞一般的拥到这条林荫道上，光着脚丫跳皮筋。累了的时候，就跑到树下的水池边，拧开龙头，任凭哗哗的流水从十指间留过。

西边的甬路两旁是嫁接的刺槐。每到花季，都绽放着一嘟噜一嘟噜的粉紫色的槐花。串串盛开的槐花将带刺的树枝压得很低。淡淡的花香常引来一只只“嗡嗡”而唱的蜜蜂和许多不知名的小虫儿。围着美丽的花儿翩翩起舞。有时侯，我会和几个调皮的同学用方便袋追着逮几只小虫，拿去吓其他同学。看见他们惊恐的样子，自己有点幸灾乐祸的做着鬼脸，开心的哈哈大笑。

每排教室的后面是一棵棵枝繁叶茂的苹果树。春天，它们矮矮的枝丫上开满花朵。夏天挂着青果，秋天有熟透得苹果。每到现在这个季节，靠窗的我总爱推开那扇漆绿了的木窗。向窗外张望那些在密密枝叶之间嬉闹的麻雀。夏瞅藏在叶下的鸣蝉。秋捉大肚的螳螂。还记得一位叫张伟的胖同学，在夏天午休时，将鞋子脱掉，光着脚丫仰躺在对起来的2张课桌上睡觉。我提起他那双臭鞋，使劲的探身挂到窗外的果枝上。害的他光着脚丫听英语老师讲了2节课……点点滴滴，给紧张的学习生活增添了许多的逸闻趣事。

记忆中的母校有很多品德高素质强的老师。那时候，我整天盼望着星期五的作文课。因为，几乎每次作文课，***老师总将我和几名同学的作文当成范作，在班内讲解。就是他的“描写细致，观察仔细，形容逼真，妙！”等批语将我引上了文学创作的道路，而且是一发不可收拾。还记得风趣幽默的化学老师；记得严肃认真的数学老师；记得轻言轻语的英语老师；亲自带我们动手作实验的物理老师。就是在他们的辛勤教育下，我班的同学也奔向了自己得工作岗位：有的在北京福田汽车公司任工程师；有的在济南航空公司任会计主管；有的在青岛当律师，有的在烟台铁路上……我们就如同不同的花朵，开在不同的地方，散发自己的馨香。

Reading “The Emperors New Clothes”, I had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool. “The Little Match Girl” couldnt keep me from crying for her misery. “Robinson Crusoe” took me into a strange world full of danger. And I was also deeply impressed by Helen Kellers patience and perseverance… Besides these, books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong. In a word, good books can make me know what I didnt before. So I think of a good book as my best friend.

What she saw was her dog’s annoying barking while not how muchloyalty it had shown.What she saw was always so depressing that it finallyturned her into an unpleasant person. Think about how our life would be if westand in her shoe.

Why don’t we focus our attention on how much we’ve already got in stead? Youknow it’s really simple to do as there’s a tremendous amount of examples. 第一部分中国人学习英语的现状

虽然中国有四亿五千万人曾经学过或正在学习英语，比美国人的人口还要多，但真正能用英语交流的人却寥寥无几。中国人用英语努力工作了十多年。他们花了很多时间、金钱和精力，结果还是聋哑英语、半英语。

中国人有一个有趣的现象是学了十来年英语连打招呼都没有过关，一见面还是： how are you ,fine ，thank you ,and you, i’m fine too, thank you bye bye !!!如果外国人没有说and you 中国人就会给外国人挑毛病，你错了.

我说你那个外国人同志啊，你怎么不说and you 啊，你不说and you 我就没有办法向下说啊，你只有说and you 我才能说i’m fine too!!为什么我们全国打招呼都是一样， 因为我们使用是同一个教材，我们没有选择，要弱智大家一起弱智。讲到打招呼，中国人还是比日本人好一点，大家都听说过日本首相僧喜朗的故事吧，日本首相僧喜朗将要去美国访问，日本的英语专家就教他，how are you , how are you , fine ,thank you, 但是僧喜郎还是没有记住，一见到克林顿，就脱口而出：

who are you ?克林顿吃了一惊，心想日本人还挺有幽默感的，就说：我是西拉里的丈夫，僧喜郎就说：

每年中国人有上百万大学毕业生通过了国家的四级，六级考试，中国的大学生说：我这辈子英语算过关了，拿到了四级六级证书，他们到外资企业找工作，一进门，外国人问他的英语怎么样，他们就会说，我的英语很好，这是我的四级证书，这是我的六级证书，外国人就说，“不要让我看证书，你给我讲两句好不好，”我们的大学生就会说，不让我说英语，你给我两道最难的选择题吧，我做选择题很厉害，我保证能选对，我也最擅长用淘汰法a不对，b不知对不对c好象不对，d不对，一高兴就选择b，这叫自欺欺人.然后那个外国人就说，get out of here,你可以离开了，下一个.

只能做多项选择题的人最终会被社会淘汰。另外做选择题最可怕是：一句话里有五个单词我不会读，有三个单词意思都不懂，但是我能选对，因为前面有个to，那是动词不定式的标志，后面一定要跟动词原形!!

或者是前面是had better，后面一定跟动词原形，管它前面是什么。中国学生什么时候最激动，一听说是常考题的时候，是不是，好激动啊，老师，多给几个。让我们想想。用这个系统培养的学生能应付21世纪残酷的商业竞争吗，不！！！

至于中国大学生，我们来谈谈中国孩子。

现在小孩子很幸福.从四岁就开始学英语，辛苦学了五年，花了几千块钱还是不行，基本上就会讲两个单词banana ,apple 今年我在大连培训里的时候，有一位家长带一个9岁的小孩来咨询,这个孩子的妈妈一见到我，她就鼓励他：快给张辉老师说几句，这个小孩就跑到我的面前，对我说：

张辉老师，what’s your name?这是不是有点象弱智恢复训练：张辉，这是甚么，这是书吧。

我问他还会甚么，他就说：i’m a boy.有没有这样的神经病，我看起来是男的实际上是女的。

我们国家教英语这个句型教的最好了,student ,***e here, let’s have a talk, what’s that ?然后学生就会说：teacher, i think, it’s a desk,老师会说：

no ,it’s not a desk, it’s a chair..如果我们的老师都是这样教英文，那真的是太荒唐了。

在谈到我们的大学生和小学生之后，让我们谈谈我们的贫困成年人

我们的成年人，大学毕业以后，在社会上混了几年，感到21世纪也来临了，中国也加入了wto，北京申奥也成功了，不学英语就赶不上潮流了，于是就买了很多的书，但基本上都是一样的，看了第一本，听了第一课，磁带听了第一盘，学了新概念，学.......最后又好象走回了老家，学完了一套又一套，不学对不起自己，学了又不知道结果如何.然后宣称：

***，英语太难学，不学了，我不是学英语的料.你问他们最拿手的是什么，他们就会说，“what’s your name ,!!”

第二部分为什么中国人学不好英语

首先是中国人太爱面子了，中国人学习最怕丢脸，有一天在大街上看到外国人，心想我能外国说两句就好了，可是两条腿就是不向前去，我要是说错了怎么办，外国人会不会笑话我啊，我说错了，那不是很丢人啊，那么多难堪啊。再说，我又丑又不温柔。外国人会告诉我吗。但是现在，我想告诉你，你是最好的，你是最有希望的。

学习英语不需要面子，妹妹大胆的向前走，学习英语更不能象羞答答的玫瑰，俗话说“没脸没皮，所向无敌”。我就喜欢犯错误，喜欢丢人，哪儿人多我就到哪儿去丢人，记得我班同学说我是不是有点**，我就说：i like my style ,so what?

你必须爱犯错误，鼓励犯错误，并努力提前一天犯错误。

其次，中国人对学习英语抱怨太多。有人说我的记础不好，记忆力差。我没有语言天赋。

是不是学好英语一定要有天赋呢，是不是一定要有天赋才能把英语才成学好呢，我举一个简单的例子.就象开车，就象游泳，就象弹钢琴，如果你想成为一个游泳高手，应该怎么办就应该跳进游泳池里拼命地游.中国人怎么做呢，中国人就会到书店里买了很多关于游泳方面的书how to swim，然后去参加培训班，苦学十年拿到了游泳博士学位，然后充满的信心跳进长江，结果跳下去就没有了，最后连尸体都找不到，跳下去就死掉了，还有一个故事，一个游泳教练带着五十个一个班的同学，学习练习游泳，每次上课的时候都是教练奋不顾身跳下去，大都在旁边记笔记，老师游的很好，老师边游边说，记住哟，左手和右手的区别，记住要注意换气啊，老师换气原来是这么回事，老师真伟大，这象不象我们上课啊，同学们翻到第二页，第二页讲的是enjoy doing sth ，ask sb to do sth ,tell sb to do sth ,prevent sb from doing sth th.。

再次，中国人的学习方法错了，the chinese misdirected their energy! 中国人的智慧都被浪费在“无聊的语法分析”、“枯燥的单词记忆”、“自欺欺人的精读课文分析”和“弱智的打勾勾涂圈圈的练习和考试”上了!

中国人的语法学的最好，比美国的教授还厉害，但我们的英语水平连美国的五岁小孩都不如，你想想我们开始学喊爸爸，妈妈，叔叔，阿姨再见时，我们的爸妈是否这样说，孩子爸爸，妈妈叔叔，阿姨都有是主语，再见是谓语。最可怕的是外国人回头说了一句，damn it ,shut up ,get out of my face now。外国人骂你，你不知道，啊，那个外国人在夸我。

你想骂外国人。你不知道怎么用这个声音。

另外中国还喜欢抱怨自己的单词量不够，总是把自己学不好英语归根于自己的词汇量不够，自己的单词少，其实，这是个很有趣的事情，你想美国的五岁的小孩子单词量有中国的大学生的单词多好，绝对没有的，但中国的大学生却没有外国的五岁的小朋友说的好，为什么会这样呢，因为你的练习不够，而不是你的单词量不够 。此时有的同学会说了我们是不是不要记单词了，不是这样的，我们反对孤立地记忆单词，因为人脑不是电脑，大量的记也会大量地忘，那应该怎么记呢，我们应该用句子来记，举了例子：在我们精读课本上的：

i’m looking for a temporary job ,so that i can save up some money to go traveling.如果你这句话你会说，还记不住temporary这个单词，那我要告诉你，你可以回家了，你弱智。此外，我们记忆单词的方式包括听写和记忆，筛选，我稍后将谈到。

还的同学会说，我的记忆很好，我会记很多的单词，但我就是不会说英语，但我要说，那些单词是死单词，你很快就会忘掉，再说，你不能一见老外，就说，sky ,people ,leg ,desk!!
