The things you need are willingness to work for what you want, patience to learn what you need to know and, most important of all, belief in yourself. You only need a seed, and then your faith in yourself will grow with you as you move forward.

If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because you’re not smart enough, then take the time to learn what you need to know, and then your self-perception will change.

If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because you never finish anything you start, then go and finish something and change your self- perception.

If your self-perception is that you’re too lazy, too busy, too unworthy, too unfocused, too depressed, or too dependent on others to accomplish great things, then you’re right. You are that because you believe you are, but in fact, you can change that! Life is change, and the past doesn’t equal the future. Your reality today is the result of your past beliefs and actions. Change your beliefs and actions, and you will change your future. Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. You are what you think.

Think about that the next time you need an excuse.

We have so many people walking around who are dead and dont even know it! There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and dont do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. Anybody can grow older. That doesnt take any talentor ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding the opportunity in change. Have no regrets. The elderly usually dont have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.

At the years end Rose finished the college degree. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college students attended her funeral to honorthe wonderful woman who taught by example that its never too late to be all you can possibly be.

与自信截然相反的是什么？自卑。自卑与自信是背道而驰的。自卑者的一个特点就是往往对别人的优点看得过多、过重，而对自己的长处认识不足，只觉得自己什么都不行，又不想去努力赶上，于是沉重的心理压力使这些人唯唯诺诺，裹足不前。自卑者的心理障碍限制了能力的发展，使他们坐失成功的良机，最终一事无成。而走出自卑阴影，前面必定是艳阳天！战胜自卑，培养自信，是我们必然的选择。

自负者与自信者也格格不入。自负与自卑都是两种极端心理，自负者在取得一些成绩后沾沾自喜，甚至目空一切，妄自尊大。这些人就算是先前取得一些成就，也只是昙花一现。历史上的教训值得我们记取。楚汉相争时，项羽在推翻暴秦的残酷统治的斗争中起了不可低估的作用，但暂时的军事优势使他盲目自负，自封“霸王”，结果被刘邦打败，昔日不可一视的英雄，落得自刎乌江的下场。三国时的曹孟德折戟沉沙，覆军于赤壁，又是一个自负导致失败的教训。由此可见，正确估价自己的长处和成绩，正视自己的短处和不足，划清自信与自负的界限，对一个成功者来说真的很重要。

这就引出来我今天要讲的主题——“胜不骄败不馁”。古人曾说过：“胜者不骄傲，败者不气馁。”讲的就是这个道理，当你经过自己的一番努力取得成功的时候，决不可沾沾自喜，骄傲于世，目中无人，而应该总结成功的经验，再接再厉，向更高、更好的目标而努力奋斗；当你遇到挫折与失败的时候，决不能灰心伤气，破罐子破摔，而应该仔细检查自己做的事情，从中找出原因，不断总结，就会从一个失败走向成功。失败并不可怕，可怕的是我们不能从中意识到自己的不足。我们常说“失败是成功之母”，讲得就是通往成功的道路上，失败有时也是不可避免的，伟大的发明家爱迪生不就是经过无数次的失败才走向成功的吗？经历了无数次的失败-成功，在失败在成功，最终发明了电灯。爱迪生是这样，雅典奥运会冠军刘翔也是一样，他也是经过了无数次的失败之后才取得了如此骄人的战绩，实现了亚洲人短跑金牌零的突破，为中国人争了光，也为亚洲人争了光！但是要从失败中不断汲取教训，多向成功的人士学习，从心理上要认识失败是暂时的，只要你能调整心态，找出问题的所在，在加上自己的刻苦努力，你一定能取得自己满意的结果。

我们刚刚进行了期中考试，由于各个学生的基础不一样，有的同学通过自己的努力取得了优异的成绩，而有的同学觉得自己的成绩不理想，没有达到自己的目标。这样就出现了两种心态的同学。考试好的同学会欢欣鼓舞，但绝不可骄傲，还要继续前进；考试暂时不理性的同学不要悲观失望，查漏补缺，终究会取得优异的成绩。我想告诉大家的是：考试只是一种检测手段，通过它反映开学以来你对所学知识的掌握程度，分数的高低只能代表过去，不能代表将来。只要你能从考试中分析自己的失败的原因，总结自己的不足之处，相信在以后的考试中你一定会名列前茅的。

大家好！

一个人来到世界上，平平坦坦过完一生是毫无意义的。要建立自己的天地，让成为主宰自己的主人。这一切都不可以空想，要靠实际行动、勇气、智慧、毅力才能实现。可是这条路不好走。放眼望去它若隐若现，只有一条荆棘丛生、弯弯曲曲、坑坑洼洼的小路。为了自己的目标，为了磨练自己的意志，我们必须果断的选择这条路。

从我们降生到世上那一刻起，注定要经历一翻彻骨寒。有人要逃避磨难，导致被小小的寒气所封杀。我走在这条路上，永不后悔。我赤着双脚。用双手扒着荆棘，荆棘的锋芒和我的肌肤一次次零距离接触，伤痛让我一次次动摇决心，但我固守阵地，决不动摇！强忍伤痛依然义无反顾的朝目的地前进。虽说伤痛时常让我疼痛难忍。我却从中总结了不少经验，伤痕弥合留下了不少疤痕，每一个伤疤都是一次挫折，都是一次经验的积累，都是一次成长的标志，所以我不悲伤，坚定的走下去。只有在这样的道路上我才能充分挖掘自己的潜能。

曾几何时，刘邦、项羽目睹秦始皇浩浩荡荡的出游队伍、富丽华美的车帐、八面凛凛的威风，随生雄心万丈的自信：“大丈夫当如此也”，“彼可取而代也”。于是，汉高祖立千秋帝王大业，楚霸王成万古悲壮英雄。诗人李白自信，他发出了“天生我才必有用，千金散尽还复来”、“仰天大笑出门去，我辈岂是蓬蒿人”的浩叹，便有壮丽辉煌的诗章千古流传。巴尔扎克自信，放弃家人为他选定的职业，毅然走上创作道路，终有惊天动地的《人间喜剧》彪炳千秋。

自信不是狂妄自大，也不是心血来潮，更不是“宁信度，勿自信也”形而上学的固执。它是理想进取中折射出的生命的灵光，是孜孜追求路途中永恒的生命潮汐，是成功碑塔下第一块灵活辩证的基石。

自信吧，朋友！有了自信，才会拥有自我，才会拥有成功，才会拥有辉煌灿烂的人生！

面对考试。几乎每场考试我们都会元气大伤，主要是因为太紧张，害怕平时自己不会的知识考到。于是面对自己的弱项，我们要解决它，不断练习。在每次考试中做到心如止水，效果才是极好的。

面对更强者。对于强者，我们大概只有仰慕、敬佩的态度，认为他们就该比自己强。非也。他们只是付出了更多的汗水。除了人前的辉煌，我们更应注意到他们的努力，自己也要更拼，为了有朝一日做个更强者。

面对挫折。挫折也是人生的财富。每一个人都期望一帆风顺。许多人都说：前进的路上，即使没有莺歌燕舞和盛开的鲜花，那最好也没有风雨和挫折。这是不可能的。聪明人不但能够从自己的挫折中明白一些道理，还善于从别人的失败中总结经验教训。其实只有经历过，才更有发言权，不是吗?
